Definitions

In these terms and conditions;

-“Website” generally refers to the online platform, including its content, features and services accessible via a web browser or equivalent application. It includes all digital components hosted on the Website, such as text, images, videos, software and interactive elements.

-“Our”/”We”/”Us” refers to Squared Health & Safety.

-“User” refers to any person or entity that accesses or interacts with the Website in any way, including browsing, registering an account, posting content or using any services or features provided by the Website.

-“Contract” refers to a legally binding agreement between two or more parties that sets out their rights, duties and obligations. This agreement may be written or oral and is legally enforceable. It contains the terms and conditions under which the parties agree to perform certain acts and services or to refrain from certain activities.

-“Services” generally refer to the specific offerings that the website makes available to its users. These may include features such as access to content, communication tools, online transactions, customer support or other functionalities provided by the website to enhance the user experience.

-“Open Course” refers to a course that is held at a location of our choosing and is open to any individual, company or organisation that wishes to attend, provided they have paid in full or received other approval from us prior to the start of the course.

-“E-learning” refers to online distance learning without a person conducting the lessons live.

– “Blended” refers to two parts of a course. Part 1 – online distance learning (e-learning), followed by part 2 – a separate face-to-face classroom training session.

Acceptance of Terms & Conditions

Users must agree to these terms and conditions before they can access or use the website and its services.

Consultancy Services

On-site attendance days – These are agreed as part of individual, customised contracts. They cover travelling expenses for competent persons in relation to the work to be carried out to the agreed location or premises.

Contract work – This is work that goes beyond the previously agreed scope of work or is offered on an individual basis and is not part of a consultancy package.

Telephone/email support – Covers all work that does not require physical travel to the customer’s site or premises. If additional work is required at the client’s site, this will be charged at an agreed amount under contract work.

Documentation support – The documentation provided may be generic and will need to be customised to your specific requirements. Unless additional consultancy work is added to support the implementation of the relevant documentation.

Responsibilities

You are fully responsible for the actual implementation of the documentation, procedures and management of the contracted work between us and the individual, company or organisation.

The responsible person(s) named by you will actively participate in the work carried out.

Termination

Contracts are automatically renewed on their anniversary date. If the customer does not wish to renew the contract, they must inform Squared Health & Safety in writing at least 30 days before the contract expires.

Training Services

Classroom Courses

We offer a variety of classroom courses that may require certain prerequisites, such as prior knowledge, prior certifications and/or educational qualifications, in order to participate in certain courses.

We cannot be held responsible in any way if these prerequisites are not met on the day the course begins without 72 hours notice.

Squared Health & Safety reserves the right to run courses with one or more trainers.

Course materials are continuously reviewed as part of quality assurance procedures. Squared Health & Safety is not liable for any omissions or errors in the course materials.

Squared Health & Safety cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen circumstances, including force majeure, that may affect the running or delivery of a course. We will work with our clients and participants to resolve any such issues to the best of our ability.

Whilst we endeavour to maintain the venues listed on our website, Squared Health & Safety reserves the right to change the venue at any time. Delegates will be notified of any change of venue.

Blended & e-learning

E-learning may be supported by a third party. We recommend that you familiarise yourself with their legal policies when linking to websites outside of www.SquaredHSC.co.uk.

All e-learning courses required for blended learning are listed in the “online blended part 1 learning section. The user is responsible for ensuring that they have completed the correct “e-learning course “Part 1” before attending the face-to-face classroom course “Part 2”.

In-House Training

For all courses conducted at the customer’s premises, the customer is responsible for fulfilling the following requirements:

A suitable training room large enough to accommodate all participants
Lunch and refreshments (if applicable)
A projector, flipchart and pens
Toilets and washing facilities
Terms of Payment
Open courses – Payment must be received in full before the course starts.

Consultancy, Contracts and In-House training – Payment must be made within 28 days of invoice date. Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation of services.

Fees, Cancellations & Refunds

Squared Health & Safety reserves the right to refuse participation in any course until payment has been received.

Squared Health & Safety reserves the right to cancel or change dates, services, venues and service providers. This includes switching from face-to-face classroom courses to our online blended service if a face-to-face classroom is not reasonably practicable.

If a course is cancelled, bookings will generally be rescheduled to the next available course at the same location, unless the customer requests otherwise. Should the customer cancel or reschedule a booking, Squared Health & Safety reserves the right to charge the fees listed below. These fees also apply to in-house training or consultancy services cancelled or postponed by the customer.

-1-14 days – 75%

-Cancellation/no-show without notice – 100%

Squared Health & Safety reserves the right to charge an administration fee of £30 for any cancellation or postponement. Telephone cancellations or postponements are be accepted but must be confirmed immediately in writing by post or email.

E-Learning and Blended Part 1 courses may be eligible for a refund in certain circumstances. This information can be found in the refund policy of the provider from whom the e-learning was purchased.

Provisional bookings are not permitted. Bookings are be confirmed upon submission and are subject to the above cancellation policy.

The fees quoted are correct at the time of publication but Squared Health & Safety reserves the right to amend them at any time.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Intellectual Property Rights

Ownership of the content, materials and intellectual property on this website rests with Squared Health & Safety. The use, reproduction or distribution of the content without authorisation is prohibited.

Changes to Terms & Conditions

We reserve the right to change, update, revise or amend our terms and conditions at any time with or without notice. We will always endeavour to notify you of any changes by email.
