Workplace Health and Safety

This course is aimed at anyone who requires a course in health and safety awareness. Ideal for managers and workplace inductions for new staff. It is designed to meet the Health and Safety regulations and covers a broad variety of health and safety topics. 

By the end of the course, participants will have the knowledge to help protect themselves, others and their employers across a broad spectrum workplace hazards.

Asbestos Awareness

Asbestos is a danger in all different sectors and many have died from this hidden killer. It is important to know when there may be a risk of exposure and how to avoid coming into contact with Asbestos.

This course covers the risk, why we need to avoid exposure and what can happen with exposure or when you are exposed,  as well as what to do if you come across possible Asbestos to ensure you and your work colleagues are kept safe.  The certificate is valid for 3 years. To comply with the HSE recommendations it is advised to complete a refresher every year.

Risk Assessment

This qualification is designed to be an introduction to the principles of Risk Assessment. It covers why risk assessments are necessary, the legal requirements relating to risk assessments and simple processes for carrying out a risk assessment.  It is suitable for learners working in any environment who need to be more risk aware by raising their knowledge of risk in the workplace and the basic things they can do to control it.

Manual Handling

This course is aimed at anyone who requires a course in manual handling and is ideal for the vast majority of workplaces. The course is designed to meet the requirements and recommendations of the HSE Manual Handling Regulations 1992.  

Correct manual handling training will reduce the risk of accidents occurring by identifying and preventing them. Manual handling is not difficult to learn but can save a lot of problems for employers and employees. This course covers the moving of objects.

Confined Spaces

This course is suitable for those already working or for those wishing to prepare to work in confined spaces. The general principles of working in confined spaces are covered in this qualification, providing the learner with an understanding of key issues relating to working in confined spaces. This qualification also forms a part of the competence qualifications for working in a High and Low-Risk confined space, providing a clear progression route for a learner.

This course is designed to meet the HSE recommendations in the Confined Spaces Regulations 1997

Working at Height Awareness

Many industries need working at heights training to ensure the safety of all staff when any procedure is taking place. This Working at Heights Level 1 course covers basic awareness and working with ladders and step ladders.

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health - COSHH

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health or COSHH regulations apply to any substance that could cause injury or illness to someone and covers most workplaces. If you are dealing with chemicals, even paints and toilet cleaning chemicals or creating anything that could damage someone you are responsible for COSHH.

Legionella Awareness

Our interactive training course is aimed at all employers and staff to assist them in identifying the danger that Legionella poses, as well as covering ways to identify and assess sources of risk from Legionella on the premises. It also gives you enough knowledge to get a Legionella control programme off the ground yourself – or make confident, informed choices when commissioning others to take this on for you.
