First Aid at Work
Course Overview
- From £225 - Per Person
This First Aid at Work (FAW) course equips individuals with essential skills to effectively manage first aid incidents. It covers key areas such as the roles and responsibilities of a first aider, scene safety, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). It also covers illness management and injuries which are related to high hazard environments such as fractures, sprains and strains, head and spinal injuries. The full classroom course runs over three consecutive days and includes both theoretical and practical elements.
The FAW course can also be achieved through our blended learning option and allows for more flexibility, utilising our e-learning portal. This consists of one day online e-learning in your own time prior to attending a two day classroom session.
By the end of the course, participants will have the knowledge and confidence to effectively respond to accidents, both in the workplace and at home.
The First Aid at Work Level 3 (VTQ) qualification including the blended learning option aligns with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines, specifically under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. It also meets the standards set by the Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines 2021.
